When it comes to fast food, there’s no denying that some of the breakfast offerings are elite.
And perhaps the best breakfast menu item at most chains is the humble hash brown. McDonald’s is obviously well-known for its version of the carby treat, but Popeyes also makes a cracking one too.
And the Louisiana fried chicken chain has just shared some exciting news for fans of the hash brown, as it’s going to be available to order all day in the UK.
There is a bit of a catch though…
While at breakfast customers can order the hash brown individually as a side, when the menu switches over for lunch and beyond, the hash brown is only going to be available to order as part of a new Superstack range.

The range is a new twist on the famous Chicken Sandwiches from the chain and sees a hash brown added into the burgers.
Those who order a Superstack Chicken Sandwich will receive a fried chicken breast (with that iconic shatter Crunch), a hash brown, a slice of cheddar heese, fresh pickles and mayo all stacked up inside a brioche bun.
And if you prefer your food to have a bit of a kick, you can also turn the Spicy Chicken Sandwich into a Superstack as well.
The new Superstacks can be ordered individually or as part of a meal, with prices starting from £6.99 for the sandwich, and £8.99 for a regular meal. A box meal is £11.29.
Dave Hoskins, head of food at Popeyes UK said: ‘The Popeyes hash brown is a certified fan favourite, with almost a million flying out restaurant doors across the UK since the breakfast menu launched in 2024. And with our internet-breaking Chicken Sandwich selling over 150,000 nationwide each week, it was only right we combine these two icon-status items for a whooole lotta bite. Now, fans can amp up the famous Popeyes Chicken Sandwich by ordering from the Superstack range – for just £1 more.’
News of the new Superstack has already caused a bit of a stir online, with social media users branding it ‘absolutely beautiful’ and saying that was their ‘lunch sorted’.
And in case that hasn’t convinced you to try the new range, Metro previously put the fast food chain’s breakfast offering to the test, and the hash browns proved incredibly popular with the team, being hailed ‘the best hash browns’ our writers had ever had, and ‘even better’ than McDonald’s.
If this doesn’t sound like one for you, there have been plenty of other big fast food launches of late. Canadian chain, Tim Hortons, has released its most ‘unhinged’ burger to date, the Chicken Donut Sandwich.
This, as the name suggests, features crispy chicken sandwiched between two Old Fashioned Glazed Donuts, drizzled in maple syrup.
The burger was initially teased as an April Fools’ Day joke, but has since been added to the menu for real, along with Cheesy Loaded Timbits for those who love sweet and savoury combos.
For those who don’t know Timbits are small donuts and these cheesy ones are smothered with a mix of three cheeses, cheese sauce, maple BBQ sauce and topped with crispy onions.
And McDonald’s also recently launched a brand new meal for adults with collectible toys – essentially, an ‘adult Happy Meal’.
This new menu feature is part of a collaboration with the Minecraft Movie, and sees iconic Maccies characters ‘blockified’. While the main meal features classics like Big Macs and McNuggets there were two new additions, including a McFlurry and a dipping sauce. The Apple Cake McFlurry has divided customers, as some loved the sweet and sour flavour, but others couldn’t help but compare it to crouton soup.
