A home once owned by possibly the world’s biggest rockstar is up for sale in London.

The eyewatering £5.5million London flat once belonged to none other than Rolling Stones legend Sir Mick Jagger.

The whopping 2,495 sq ft property, which boasts four spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms, is located on the fourth floor of Harley House, in Marylebone. The building is described as ‘one of the grandest residential innovations of the Edwardian era’.

But any deep-pocketed house hunter wouldn’t just be buying a home, but a piece of pop culture history.

Mick moved into the flat in 1966 with his then girlfriend Chrissie Shrimpton, with whom he had a rocky relationship, and their menagerie of pets: a dog, six cats and three songbirds.

The flat would have been the scene of many a hedonistic party – likely centred in a room that was dubbed the ‘hippy lounge’ – with Mick known to have let lose with his bandmates, including Keith Richards, and none-other-than HRH Princess Margaret.

It was also during his time living here, that the Stones released songs including ‘Paint it Black’ and ‘Ruby Tuesday’.

After breaking up with Chrissie, and mercilessly dumping her belongings in the foyer of Harley House, his new girlfriend, Marianne Faithfull, moved in.
